A Farm To Table Experience

Our Philosophy

Come enjoy our cozy & quaint, 1700’s tavern with very large outdoor dining spaces. We take pride in sourcing our meats and produce from local farmer’s markets & growers in our community, as well as using local craft beer brewers & spirits to produce our hand crafted cocktails.

We change our menu frequently and create dishes that showcase fruits and vegetables that are fresh and in season. The Rye Garden provides us with produce that is harvested just steps away from the restaurant. We also have cultivated long lasting relationships with local farms.

Rye Garden is located 50 feet from the Rye Tavern kitchen. It provides Executive Chef Josh Todisco plenty to work with. Established in 2011, in the Rye Garden we do plenty of succession planting to provide a steady stream of tender greens throughout the growing season. We also grow a variety of cherry tomatoes, herbs, lettuces, peas, carrots. beans, edible flowers and more. You can’t get more fresh and local than that! More than just Farm to Table, you can actually see our farm FROM your table!

  • This was my first time eating here..no disappointments at all. The historical atmosphere was super inviting! From the server to the bread and appetizers to the meal. Everything was full of flavor and cooked perfectly! Highly recommend! I will be returning on a sunny day to enjoy the outdoor bar and view of the garden!

We visit here frequently and every time we come it's delicious! Denise is very friendly and attentive. I would definitely recommend the steak, fish and chips and the burger. The chicken dish on the Monday Menu tastes like it just came out of the smoker! The atmosphere is very cozy but sometimes it can be loud. We will be back soon!

Best food I've had in a long time. Excellent from start to finish, great wine list too. Restaurant is clean and rustic, few frills but had an antique charm to it. I highly recommend the cider donut holes and the duck! The clam chowder is a neat "disassembly" of typical New England chowder, with bacon and fried clams and potato served over/in a bowl of chowder proper. It could easily be a small meal unto itself. It's clear the chef had fun with that one! Staff were friendly and welcoming. Reservations were easy to make. It's clear the Tavern is lovingly kept. The road leading to it is heinous, so drive carefully. There are more potholes and bumps in that road than a Boston street after a whole winter of plowing.

  • Cozy, warm, and friendly. The menu changes with the seasons, but they always try to keep it locally sourced. During the growing season they have incredible gardens right outside the place where they grow a lot of their produce, herbs, and greens. The outdoor dining and bar in the warmer weather are welcoming and the igloos in the colder months are a special treat.

My husband and I always go to Rye Tavern for our anniversary, and this year did not disappoint! We ordered the Roasted Sprouts, so amazing! For entrees we chose the Cranberry BBQ Steak Tips and Filet Minion and it was literally the best steaks we’ve had anywhere. Always impressed with the amazing flavors and wonderful wait staff. Can’t wait to come back!
